Great jump rope, but mat only
Last time I jumped rope was probably 10 years ago, I decided to get back into it for exercise and bought this one.The rope itself is great, spins very smoothly thanks to the bearings. I would say it’s a moderate weight (less than the thick, heavy weighted ropes some gyms have), if you try to jump VERY slowly it would probably get annoying but realistically even for a first timer it’s not difficult once adjusted. The handles are comfortable to hold, the wrapping material is soft enough to feel nice on your palms but has good grip. I really like the design of the bearings and the axles holding the rope at a right angle to the handle – I think it’s a very efficient design and feels smooth when jumping. It gets tangled a little if there is too much slack. I adjusted mine so that it barely touches the ground as I skip, and I jump as fast as I can handle so tension is not a problem and it pretty much never gets tangled while I jump. The instructions have you basically make it the distance from your feet to armpits, which I find way too long. Instead I measure by putting the rope behind my knees and holding the handles out in front of me with straightened arms, which is much shorter, and I shortened a few inches more through trial and error. I recommend starting with the too-long length that the instructions suggest, and adjusting down from there. As the manual says, it’s a lot easier to shorten than to lengthen it.The handles each have two holes that the cable makes a U through, and friction holds it in place. So adjustment is very easy, and you don’t have to cut the extra bit in case you want to be able to lengthen it later. However if you let the extra bit of cable wrap around the rest of the rope, it tangles a bit more. But if you jump fast enough to hear it whip, it still won’t tangle. The first time I tried jumping in my dirt yard the plastic sheath immediately started getting scratched. I think you should definitely not use this on rough surfaces like concrete or pavement, it wouldn’t last long. I had those jigsaw piece-style rubber mat tiles around so I jump on those (you can make do with 1×2′ but 2×3′ is roomier), better for my feet and no damage on the cable. After a few days I got good enough to spin it without ever touching the ground.

Fast, Durable, Lightweight, and Great Grips
I spent a lot of time looking into which jump rope to purchase. Although I used to jump rope in the past, I would consider myself a novice. I have only used the cheaper $10 PVC ropes in the past and they worked quite well for my level of jumping at the time, but for a little more money the quality is exponentially better. With two ropes of different gauges, you can either use the thicker one for Crossfit training or the thinner one for working on double-unders. I don’t do Crossfit myself, instead I lift traditionally as well as jog, swim, and bike but I wanted something else to improve on my cardio and move from straight LISS in conjunction with my HIIT workouts. This rope was the perfect addition. I’m also glad I chose the Attack Speed rope instead of the similarly priced Speed rope as the handles are fantastic and easy to grip. The bearings are smooth and glide with tremendous ease.Although I look forward to purchasing a more expensive rope in the future, this rope is a steal for the price and will be used for a long time to come.

    Good, solid set.
I received this promptly, and with a (hilarious) follow up email from the seller. I’m not new to ropes, and while I’m not at the top of my game just yet, I’ll get there eventually, partially thanks to this product. The item came as a set with 2 ropes, some spare end caps, a carry bag and some stickers 🙂 The handles are lightweight, wrapped in a foamy tape, the ball bearings are solid and make jumps effortless and efficient. There are 2 rope thicknesses, the one attached to the handles is the slimmer one, but interchanging them is a piece of cake. Cutting them to size was difficult! It’s made of twisted steel cable so I don’t feel it’ll fall apart anytime soon. Overall, a very solid product. The only reason I’m removing a star is because unfortunately the slim rope that I got has a broken/protruding piece of a cable sticking out from the vinyl casing and it pricked my finger pretty bad when I unknowingly ran my hand along the length of the rope to straighten it. It’s in a spot that is lower to the ground and since I know it’s there, I won’t be touching it anymore and I don’t think it’ll cut me further. But still, a slight disappointment. The thicker rope is fine so Maybe I’ll just switch over to that one. It’s not enough of a complaint to return the whole thing, but it definitely hurt.

    Perfect!
My gym has some of these jump ropes and I loved the pink specifically and had to order one for myself!Very easy to use and adjust for height. I love and very much appreciate the 2 different cables that came with it as well and the extra hardware. This is worth the buy! The handles are good and thick. Great pink color!

Low-cost, high-value jump rope for someone trying to transition from SUs to DUs
Comfortable handles, easy to customize (set-up took less than 5 minutes with a combo needle-nose players / wire cutter), and nice rope weight options — an excellent alternative to the house ropes at your gym :)After getting the hang of SUs on community gear, I decided that the very modest investment in a jump rope of my own was a good investment for learning DUs. Getting to a nice, matches-me-exactly length was helpful, and the larger tennis racket-style handles just feel better to me than thinner, plastic variants.I’m still FAR from an expert on the DU, but giving myself the opportunity to practice wherever / whenever on a heavier rope that is exactly as long as I want it to be has helped me make progress more quickly.

    CrossFit Approved – Dubs
Struggled with double unders until the second I first used this rope. It immediately clicked. This is the best jump rope I’ve ever had. CrossFit approved.

  7. Alejandro Manares

    Not good for Double Unders
The rope it’s fine, but it’s not good for double unders. Anytime you failed a double under and step on the rope, the rope will slide from the grip and you will not be able to finish your work out.

Skipping rope is amazing but the wrap came off after only a couple of uses. I’m way to lazy to rewrap it so I’ll give 5stars

  9. Omar Ayman

Very lightweight and fast if you’re new to hope rope I recommend you don’t use it, also this rope cannot be shared with others unless they are the same height as you, since it’s adjusted by wire cutters. So say you give it to a taller friend they won’t be able to adjust it back sadly

Consigliata.
