Great Jump Rope That Actually Makes You Want to Work Out
This DEGOL Skipping Rope surprised me in the best way. It’s one of those pieces of workout gear that looks simple but instantly feels like a quality upgrade once you start using it. The ball bearings make each spin silky smooth with no snagging, no weird twisting, just that perfect swish you want when you’re in rhythm.The foam handles are comfortable enough that you don’t realize how long you’ve been jumping until you’re suddenly sweating and questioning your life choices (in the healthiest possible way). It’s lightweight, easy to adjust, and tangle-free because no one wants to spend their warm-up time untangling knots like it’s Christmas lights.Whether you’re doing speed work, endurance training, or just trying to sneak in some cardio while watching TV, this rope delivers. It’s durable, smooth, and makes jumping feel efficient and fun instead of a punishment from gym class. A simple, affordable, and functional tool that actually earns a permanent spot in the workout rotation.

Adjustability is a nightmare…
For the most part, I really like this jump rope. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and has a nice whip and turn.The two issues are that it coils/tangles way too easily when in use, which is dangerous, and adjusting the length is a nightmare.I’ll focus on the second issue. It’s reeeeeeeeeeeally long, and unless you need it super long, there’s no way to tuck the excess into the handle and still have the handle lock. The only way to adjust it is to cut the rope, but the problem is it’s military grade steel wire so you need not just any wire cutters but some seriously tough wire cutters. I went through three different types of wire cutters without success until I asked a neighbor for help. He had an industrial grade wire cutter, and even then he struggled to cut it but finally succeeded. So unless you’re excessively tall, jumping 2-3 people at one time, or have industrial grade wire cutters handy, this product is nearly useless because there’s no way to use it unless you can cut the impossible-to-cut wire.While I like the idea of it being “adjustable,” I’d rather it just come in different lengths for different heights because once it’s cut, there’s no un-cutting it for a longer length anyway, so what’s the point of it coming extra-long to begin with? Just coming in the right length to begin with would be great.Getting the length right is just part of the process, and once adjusted, it’s a good jump rope, so you never have to worry about the length again after that. A moment’s inconvenience. That said, it definitely knocked a star because I would have liked to pull this out of the box and use it. Instead it’s been a process of finding a tool capable of cutting it.

Cheap Feel (For a Cheap Price)
This jump rope is super lightweight. Like if there is one thing I can say about it, it is that it is incredibly lightweight. The handles are made from some sort of foam, which lends itself a bit to the “cheap” quality I mentioned in the title. (Caveat, I am by no means an experienced jump roper. If lightweight handles are a key indicator for jump rope this nails it.)The rope itself is like the cable for a swing set – sturdy, and just heavy enough to comfortably swing around. I was worried at first that it would be TOO light to actually swing, but the cord is indeed the heaviest part of this product.Inside the handles are adjustable stoppers. Basically (see the picture) the white part bites down on the cable (so you can shorten it as much as you’d like by permanently cutting the cable to the desired length). Then the silver piece rests on the white stopper. The black plastic cap screws onto the silver piece, and then the momentum of swinging is the only thing that keeps the cable from bunching up inside the handle. If you want, you can force a decent chunk (1 – 1.5 feet) of cable into the handle, but it won’t stay.This stopping apparatus feels cheap and clumsy. I think if this product breaks it’s going to be this single white stopper part, and if that happens the cord will slide out of the handles. You could probably put tape, or something in it to recreate the effect.If you don’t know your size, and have a small budget, I think this will work fine for casual use. If I were to do it again, I would google recommended lengths based on my height, and by a fixed length one of slightly higher quality, but I don’t regret my purchase as a beginner jump-roper.

Great for building stamina…
It’s adjustable. Had a little difficulty cutting the “rope” as it contains a metal inner strand in the middle of the plastic coating. Works great for what I use it for. I like how the rope can spin inside the handles to prevent it from getting twisted/tangled when used for jumping rope.

Product Quality is Fantastic

This is a great buy! Ok skipping ropes and not the most complex things in the world, but this little gem has some features that make it standout against the rest.First off, its light, like really lite, which makes skipping that much easier, plus the ball bearings make it fast. First time skipping since a kid and it felt like it wanted me to double if not triple skips per jump.Secondly, the tangle free nature – its not really a rope, but just plastic, but not cheap plastic so the “rope” dangles straight and true and does not twist up or anything.Thirdly, the length is a great. I am six foot and its perfect for me. However my wife who is only 5’2″ can still easily use it.Lastly, the grips are super comfy and do not get sweaty. They remind me of a comfortable tennis racquet grip.For the price point, these are a bargain.
