A must for plant based protein
For the price, this is just about the best protein you’re going to find. As most things in life, there are some pros and cons.I will elaborate on the pros: #1 Protein yield, a mere 31 gram serving size yields 25 grams of protein, that’s roughly an 81% protein yield for plant based protein (very good)! #2 Promix contains a fantastic amino acid profile. No need to buy additional BCAA’s or EAA’s, it’s likely more than covered in the protein mix. #3 the protein mixes well. I use water, and I have not had any clumping. #4 taste, I rather enjoy the taste of the protein. It’s not sweet, but the chocolate powder comes through without an after taste. #5 the minimal amount of ingredients. There are no fillers or fluff, and that’s partially why the protein yield is so high.Cons: #1 this is more of a personal complaint than a con, I wish they would list the percentage of the type of protein they use. The label list Organic Pea Protein and Organic Sprouted Brown Rice. I’d simply like to know the actual percentages. I’m assuming there is more Pea protein, but who knows. #2 not for me but for some, the taste may not be sweet enough.Overall, this compares well with some of the highest animal based proteins on the market, and the price is reasonable. I would love to see them add a “greens” profile to really complete this already outstanding protein.

Promix highly recommend
Great flavor, quality and clean. A bit pricey but buy chocolate from another brand.Vanilla is delicious and mixes well with smoothies and yogurt or liquid for a snack.

Chalkiest tasting protein powder on the market. Save your money. Doesn’t blend well in shakes or smoothies, doesn’t mix well in yogurt of oatmeal. Complete waste. I wish I could return it.

Best chocolate vegan protein I’ve had so far.
Protein powders are a dime a dozen it seems. Some taste great and some are just awful. This one is pretty good. I’m partial to whey protein sources, but wanted to venture out and have a vegan source of protein.The first bag I received tasted delicious. On par with some of the better whey protein mixes I’ve had. And it mixed really well.Concurrent bags though, I’ve noticed a slight difference in both taste and mixability. The taste has a subtle aftertaste I didn’t notice with the first bag, though not bad. And now the powder kind of settles after mixing. I have to re-shake every 10-15 seconds to re-suspend the mix. Not the end of the world but a little annoying.I like that the ingredients are pretty straightforward, no filler. And the number of servings is very fair for the price and quality. The mix comes in a bag instead of a tub that I prefer, but it’s barely an inconvenience.

It tastes like what it is, and that’s a good thing
The taste is the biggest downside, but that’s just the result of having a clean product with no fillers. It tastes exacly like pea protein should taste: like a cold pea soup with no attempts made to season it. I personally close my nostrils and chug it down. It blends easily and doesn’t clump. Only real complaint is that the seal could be better.

Great protein powder, but the packaging is horrid.
I tried this vegan vanilla protein powder after my previous one seems to no longer be sold. This tastes amazing and I love the ingredient list. My body digests it well, and it is great for mixing into baked recipes. Where I have a couple of issues are actually huge detracting factors. In smoothies, it stays very gritty. I can get over this, but my previous vegan protein disappeared, so it is disappointing for this to be so gritty. Also, the packaging is atrocious. When you open the bag, the powder is packed into the zipper closure. I spent a lot of time trying to tap and brush the powder out so I could close the bag, but it will not seal. After I had powder everywhere and wasted a bunch of time, I gave up and transferred it to a glass container. There has to be a better closure for this bag because my last brand’s zipper closure worked beautifully.

Decent powder with a horrible bag
The quality of the protein powder is decent at best, but each bag seems to be different in either texture or taste. While I like the vegan option, there is definitely a noticeable difference in taste and in smell. I can agree with others that the smell of this protein powder is less than desirable. For these reasons I chose to remove 2 stars, and the other star I took away because of the bag. Bags are messy, unorganized, difficult to store, and they can’t even get a proper seal for the bag. If I have to use a bag clip to seal my bag of protein powder, what’s the point of having a zip seal? I’ve been using Promix since they switched to bags, and only one bag came with a perfect seal and I’ve never seen it again since. I’ll be switching back to either Naked Protein or going with another new brand that will hopefully have better quality assurance than this company.
