Unflavored BCAAs are not bad at all!
So I’ve been buying flavored BCAAs from other brands but got to the point where I can hardly choke them down. Artificial flavors and stevia etc really gross me out. I thought surely the plain ones would be vile because those artificial flavors are SO strong — they must be covering something up? And yes, I read reviews about how impossible the plain ones are to choke down.Anyway, I was prepared… I mixed my first dose with a couple ounces each of lemon juice and ginger juice, then chased it with the recommended 10 oz water. It was fine and I didn’t taste anything but juice. (I love lemon and ginger and could chug either one straight.) Today I tried it plain in water. Also fine. Yes there’s a bitter flavor, but it’s not too bad. Halfway through it got just a little unpleasant and I mixed in some lemon juice. That was perfect.What else can I say? It mixes great.

Absolute Banger
I notice a lot of people who are unhappy with the smell of this supplement and it makes me wonder if they’ve used products with naturally derived ingredients before – they all smell terrible. Companies add ingredients to make the color, taste, and SMELL more appealing. Also, the flavored version had L-glutamine, which isn’t included in the unflavored version. UNFLAVORED also doesn’t mean FLAVORLESS.Solid supplement from a solid company. As they release a liquid HMB they’ll be the only supplement brand I use.Taste is really bitter though. I added a cap full of lemon juice to mine to balance the taste.

Yeah, everyone’s right, this stuff stinks…so what? Sure, it’s a powerful stink, but it disappears the moment you add it to any liquid, leaving absolutely no flavor (that I can taste) at all.So, I’ve been using this steadily for a little over a month now, and I really think it’s a great product all around. I was regularly sore after intense workouts from my trainer, I mean nearly every day I’d see her. Since using this (along with Naked Creatine, which I also love), I’ve had only one instance of intense soreness post workout, and even then it was while I was also very sick with a sinus infection, so I’m sure my body not being well overall didn’t help with my recovery. I love that it’s flavorless, too, so on days I screw up and don’t add it to my preworkout protein shake, I can just toss it in a tiny amount of plain water (like half a cup tops) in a blender bottle and just chug it to get it inside my body. The cost for 100 servings can’t be beat, either. I’ll definitely repurchase this when I run out.As a side note, the stank can serve a purpose from time to time if need be. We visited CO a few weeks ago and found ourselves with a few extra treats we couldn’t finish while there, so we stashed them in the BCAAs just in case we were pulled over on the way home. The smell of the BCAAs completely covered any smell our Colorado goodies had. So…bonus?!

Be warned. As of this writing, there are actually two very different products on this page.
The unflavored one is 100 servings.The flavored one looks the same, has the same label, same exact weight, almost the same price, but it is only 34 servings. Therefore, it is 1/3 the value.They fill the flavored one with sugar and artificial flavors and charge the same, although the extra ingredients reduce the servings down to a third.That isn’t “Naked” and it isn’t honest to put it on the same page with the other, where all you have to do is click a flavor option and lose 2/3 of your product.- Other than the flavor name, the label is the same- The price is virtually the same- The jar is the same size, the contents inside the exact same volume (1.1 lbs)- They sell from the same page- But one is 34 servings and the other is 100When I asked the company (Naked, not Amazon) to address this, they basically told me sorry, bye. They did nothing. When I asked if they thought putting two products with dramatically different usable quantities and virtually identical labels was good business, they didn’t reply.I had already opened the product before I realized I had 1/3 as much as expected – the jar is the same size after all.I am writing my only negative review ever because the company was dismissive, and because other buyers might be mislead into making the same mistake.

This stuff really helps during and after work outs.I just put a scoop in a water bottle and shake.I dont mind the taste at all!Kind of makes my water taste cleaner.I also add it to smoothies here and there and there is no taste when doing that.Would recommend for high level athletes who dont want an extra crap in their hydration beverage.I will re-buy.
