Excellent quality for the price and a 300-pound limit
This Merach folding exercise bike was one of the most affordable exercise machines I could find that had a 300-pound capacity. I was able to assemble it by myself but it would have definitely been easier with two people. The instructions are detailed but still hard to follow; thankfully, Merach has an assembly video online that helped me fill in the gaps.This bike is the perfect size for my small apartment so I don’t even bother folding it up. I am short (5’2″) and the lowest seat setting is just right for me. I am currently on the lowest resistance level and I don’t hear any noise. I love this bike so far and have not even tried the free app yet. The bike was $159.99 at the time I tried it, which is a phenomenal value for an exercise machine of this quality with a 300-pound limit.

Quite impressive for such a small bike
This was mostly easy to assemble. I say mostly easy because to me, there is only one point of confusion on the assembly, and that was the rolling tube that goes on the front of the bike. The instruction manual is pretty clear overall, but it’s still possible to install the tube incorrectly so that you aren’t able to roll the unit in the way that is easiest. But that’s a very minor issue considering you’re assembling an entire exercise bike. The bike works very well and is simple to use. I have found that I have to have it in a very specific setting in order for it to be comfortable to me. The back seat seems to be hitting me a bit too low, which is odd considering that I’m very short. I do wonder if a taller person would find it comfortable. I had my adult child try it out (they are about 5″ taller than I am) and they also felt like the back seat wasn’t high enough. To me, it feels like you’re leaning back too far. That’s only if you are not leaning forward and using it more like a recumbent style. It’s really easy to adjust and fold up. I hurt my back badly right before I got it, and I can still adjust it and fold it up without pain. When you fold it up, it takes up very little space. The addition of the arm resistance bands is pretty cool – I don’t know that I’ve seen that on any other exercise bike, at least not at the gyms that I use. At the time I ordered this, the bike was $160, and that is a fantastic value.UPDATE: Still loving the bike, but I initially forgot to mention that I thought that the placement of the water bottle holder on the back of the seat was definitely weird to begin with, however now that I have actually tried to use it, I’ve found that it’s pretty ridiculous. It doesn’t hold anything except a very skinny bottle and if that bottle is full of water, it struggles to stay in the holder. Don’t bother installing it; it’s useless.

Great Bikes for People (and maybe cats)
This bike is excellent. Years ago I had a second hand bike from a sports equipment reseller. It wasn’t very nice, the seat rocked, no matter what you did to tighten it down and the pedals were hard to pedal, like riding up a hill on bicycle with no gears, but I made it work because I really needed to.This is such an upgrade. The seat is comfortable and adjustable. It has lovely handlebars with grips that are not bare metal. It has a holder on the front for a phone, tablet or kindle! I wont tell you how many years ago I made do with an old bike, just that people didn’t have tablets back then!The pedals are smooth and comfortable to use (though, I do think I want to remove the foot cage, strap thingy’s, I don’t like them on regular bikes or on this one at home, they always seem too small for my feet).You can adjust the tension to make pedalling harder or keep it smooth and easy, both are easily done even for a tech illiterate like me.This bike is super stable, I thought I might need to buy a rug to put under the bike, but so far, it is super stable on my tile floor (I have the off-white ceramic tiles you see in a lot of places built in the 70-80s, so I thought that it might rock a bit, but it hasn’t).Something else that is really great is how quiet it is. I can ride this while watching TV with my family and they don’t have to turn the volume up (much quieter than the treadmill).Also, my cat likes it, she tried to sit in the cup holder.

Nice bike for a quick ride
This is a nice bike for a home or apartment as it is easy to move and really doesn’t take up much space when compared to some of the other bikes on the market. While it is simple it does have app connectivity over Bluetooth which is a nice feature but I consistently have issues with it connecting and staying connected to my phone. It was one of the reasons I selected this bike as having an app makes tracking workouts easier but this issue has made it so that I no longer attempt to use the app when I use the bike.

This MERACH exercise bike has been a fantastic addition to my home gym. The magnetic resistance provides smooth, quiet cycling that I can adjust easily during workouts. I especially appreciate the comfortable seat cushion – it’s wider than most bike seats and makes longer rides much more bearable. The built-in tablet mount is perfect for following along with workout apps or watching shows. With a 300lb weight capacity, it feels incredibly sturdy even during intense sprints. The accompanying app adds great training variety with guided classes. For the price, it’s outperformed my expectations for a home cycling setup.

Hervorragende Bauqualität und kompatibel mit vielen Apps wie Rouvy , Zwift , TP-Virtual ,Bitgym, Fitshow und Kinomap außerhalb der etwas schwachen Merach-App.Die Anbindung an vorgenannte Apps ist sehr gut. Rouvy und TP-Virtual gibt es sogar für Mac+PC was zuhause sowieso schöner ist wenn man das Cycling auf einem großen Monitor oder TV betreiben kann. Die anderen Apps lassen sich alle auf große Geräte streamen. Ein unglaubliches Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Man muß nicht unbedingt 500 -3500.- Euro für so ein Bike-Erlebnis ausgeben.Zudem auch noch ein schnell reagierender und freundlicher Service.Ich hatte ein Problem mit dem Sattel und mir wurde umgehend eine akzeptable Lösung angeboten.
