Great strap
This is my second strap and it works ever time. My old straps dry out and need replacement. This is a great way to extend the life of the heart rate monitor

Best of the Best Chest bands
I have been wearing chest bands for 9yrs now and they have always been the Garmin Heart Rate bands and I have replaced them numerous times.I have ran Spartan races, Savage Races, Tough Mudder, and even do the HH100 bicycle race every year and they would eventually all roll up and bunch up and get uncomfortable like a this string around me instead of a band, but I stuck with them due to the fact I only wear the Garmin Fenix watches. Well HOLY GUNSMOKE there is a new Sheriff in town and this chest band rocks. It works perfectly with the Garmin Heart rate sensor and is extremely accurate. I can’t get it to lose its form not matter what I do.I even did a Spartan race with no shirt just to see if I could trash this and get it to roll over on itself in the mud and water and climbing which had no effect on it.It was really nice to not feel the chest band.The price is awesome compared to the Garmin replacement band. Sorry Garmin. I will stay faithful to your watch but your Heart Rate chest band is a distant memory.

I lost my original strap for my Garmin HRM-Dual and didn’t want to spend $35 on a Garmin branded unit, so I took an gamble and bought this before there were any reviews.So far it works just like the original did. It was comfortable enough on a 90 minute mountain bike ride. I’ve only used it once, but I will update this review if my opinion on it changes.Update 7/24/20:Still using the band and it is working fine. I’ve probably put 200 miles on my bike with it so far. It’s comfortable and is holding up well. Probably has held up better than the original Garmin band.Unfortunately, it looks like the manufacturer almost doubled the price since I purchased it. Can’t say I would pick it over other brands at this price point. Reduced my stars from 5 to 4 due to the drastic increase in cost.Update 3/5/2021:Bumping this back up to 5 stars. This band is better than the original Garmin unit that came with my HRM. There are no signs of stretching or loss of elasticity since I have purchased the HRM band.I’ve worn it for over 1000miles of bike riding. It’s just as accurate as the OEM bands.It looks like the price has fluctuated and after my longer evaluation I would say the price is great. Don’t hesitate to buy it! No need to pay more for the OEM or brand name units.Update 1/11/2022:This unit is still working great. Band is in good shape, no stretching. Comfortable for 3-4hrs rides.Works flawlessly with Garmin HRM.

Best Option for Garmin 010-12883-00 HRM-Dual
Excellent. I use it with a Garmin sensor, and I feel the measurements are much more accurate. I saved a lot by purchasing this option. If you use a Garmin HRM, don’t think twice; this is the best replacement band.

Stopped working in a month
I bought this a little over a month ago to use with my Garmin HRM-Dual heart rate monitor. I replaced the original Garmin chest strap with this one. It worked great and tracked my heart rate well for about a month. Then, it started getting wonky readings like my heart rate would stay below 90 bpm for the first half mile then shoot up to over 165 and remain there or higher the rest of the run. I washed the chest strap a couple times, I shaved the hair off my chest, I used water, I used electrode gel, I changed the battery in my HRM, and I even reset my Garmin watch. The HRM never disconnected from my watch, but with the chest strap the readings were way off or sometimes it would just display a blank space while using it. I have two Garmin HRM-Dual monitors and I swapped the working monitor onto this strap and got wonky readings with it as well. It is clearly the strap that is the problem. I only ever used it to run and I never ran with it in the rain even (though more moisture should make it work better).So, after a little more than a month, I’m throwing this chest strap in the garbage. It functionally worked great for about a month and then it didn’t. That is unfortunate, especially since it’s a pretty simple device.

Great Buy
More comfortable than the original Garmin strap. The strap is a little softer on the skin too. Some reviews have mentioned the HRM pod not fitting or being able to snap the pod into the strap. The pod DOES snap fit but you will need to snap it in at an angle.

Got a 1st Generation Wahoo TICKR? Strap worn out? Worried that there are no more OG straps available and you’re just not sure if this replacement will do the job? Worry no more, this is perfect! It works in a slightly different way, in that the TICKR’s no longer the way of completing the loop round your chest; instead it attaches (perfectly) to the strap and you have a simple “post” on the buckle (there’s probably an official, technical word for that, but I don’t know it) to attach the strap loop to. There’s at least as much size adjustment as the OG item, so no issue with that. As I’ve already been through 2 of the OG items over the years, I bought 2 of these, but I’m happy to report there’s no sign of any wear & tear after the first dozen washes (I wash it after EVERY ride – anything less is frankly unconscionable!).

Bought as a replacement strap for Garmin HRM as the original one started giving wrong output due to physical deterioration. Happy with the but and it works quite well.
