Gentle Yet Effective Spot Treatment That Calms Redness and Shrinks Blemishes
I added The Ordinary Sulfur 10% Powder-to-Cream Acne Spot Treatment to my skincare routine because I wanted something targeted that could help reduce the size and redness of pimples quickly — and this honestly delivers. It’s one of those products that feels simple but actually works when you use it correctly. The first thing I noticed was the texture. It comes out as a lightweight cream that absorbs quickly without feeling heavy or greasy. The sulfur formula is strong enough to be effective but not harsh on the skin, which is a fine line a lot of acne treatments don’t always hit. I usually apply it only on the specific spot that’s bothering me, so it doesn’t dry out surrounding skin.Once applied, it feels cooling and soothing right away, which I appreciate because many spot treatments can sting or irritate — especially when the blemish is inflamed. With this formula, I didn’t experience irritation or tightness, even when I applied it at night before bed and again in the morning. The redness really does seem to visibly reduce faster than with my previous products, and pimples tend to shrink down a lot more quickly.I also liked how easy it was to integrate this into my existing skincare routine. A small amount goes a long way — a little bump between finger and thumb is enough for most spots — and it layers well under moisturizer and makeup. It doesn’t pill or flake, which is something I’ve struggled with a lot in the past when using treatments alongside other products. One thing worth noting is that patience is still part of the process. You won’t always see instant disappearance overnight (no acne miracle product is perfect), but persistent use definitely speeds up healing and reduces the “angry” look of a pimple more than many other treatments I’ve tried.Overall, The Ordinary Sulfur 10% Powder-to-Cream Acne Spot Treatment is a dependable option if you want calm, targeted relief for breakouts without irritation. It’s gentle, effective, and actually makes the blemishes look better quicker than many stronger or harsher formulas I’ve used in the past. If you struggle with occasional breakouts and want something you can trust to reduce both size and redness, this is worth trying.

Genius powder-to-cream sulfur spot treatment: fast shrink, low odor, no fabric bleaching
Genius powder-to-cream sulfur spot treatment: fast shrink, low odor, no fabric bleachingBought for: a true acne spot treatment for my menopausal breakouts and my teen’s acne. I wanted something effective that isn’t benzoyl peroxide (no bleached pillowcases). What it is (because it’s different):This is a super-fine powder (think baby powder/cornstarch). You sprinkle a tiny amount onto a clean fingertip (or the back of your hand), tap it, and it turns into a thick cream as it picks up moisture from your skin/air. Then you dab it directly on the pimple. Results:It visibly reduces the size/severity of an acne spot for me, especially as a nighttime treatment. Sulfur is seriously underrated.Likes:Works well on active pimples: Great for a single angry spot.True spot treatment: Not meant for large areas, but perfect for targeted use.Doesn’t stain/bleach clothes: Huge win compared to benzoyl peroxide.Low odor: I notice only a faint sulfur scent, and it’s not strong.Travel-friendly + adjustable: A little goes a long way, and you control the amount.Important use note (layering):Moisturizer tends to rub this product off if you smear/rub over it. It works best used alone, applied and left to do its thing unobstructed. If you’re using makeup, I’d dab gently rather than rubbing over the spot.Dislikes / cautions:Can be drying if you overuse (normal for sulfur). Start small and increase only if needed.Remove silver jewelry first and wash hands after application (sulfur can react with silver).Keep it spot-only (not an all-over face product).Quick answers:Helps with pimples? Yes, visibly reduces the look/size for meScent? Faint sulfurHow often? As needed (start 1x/day, increase if tolerated)All skin types? Works for me and my teen, but patch test if sensitiveNon-comedogenic? Not clearly stated; no clogging for me using it as a spot treatmentBlackheads? Better for inflamed spots than blackheads in my experienceDay or night? Night is ideal, but can be used anytimeWould buy again? Yes, absolutely

This stuff is great!
I don’t usually have breakouts but every now and then I get an annoying blind pimple or spot on my face. When I saw them come out with this, I figured since I’m a big Ordinary fan, I would grab it since right around the time this was released I had two spots on my face that were stubborn. As soon as it came I did my skin care routine that night and dabbed a little on each spot. By the next day they were flat to my face and no longer red. You do get kind of a burnt match smell if you really put your face to it, but it’s nothing noticeable to anybody else. I see a lot of reviews stating that it’s such a tiny bottle but you really only need the tiniest amount on your finger, this should last a very long time. Also all you have to do is put the bottle upside down and just lightly tap the back of it and it will dispense easy peasy. I really like this stuff! It comes in handy in a pinch with those stubborn pimples.

Works, BUT…
This product really does help treat acne quickly and helps reduce redness. However it leaves skin really sticky and tacky and that feeling doesn’t go away until you wash it off. I was hoping this could help treat spots during the day since it reduces redness but the texture means it won’t work well if you’re going anywhere and might accidentally brush your face. I like using it at night though. It does have that sulfur smell (which is to be expected) but it’s not as strong as other products I’ve used that are sulfur based.
