Space-Saving and Solid Performance
The PowerBlock adjustable dumbbells have been a fantastic addition to my home gym. They’re incredibly easy to adjust—just slide the selector pin and you’re ready to go. The weight range is perfect for everything from light toning to heavy lifting, and the compact design saves a ton of space compared to a full rack of traditional dumbbells.The build quality is excellent—very sturdy with a balanced feel during lifts. I was a bit skeptical about the blocky shape at first, but it hasn’t interfered with any exercises. Sturdy dumbell, excellent customer service.
I received mine on the 19th. Oke of the handles was broken, and I assume it happened during shipping, looks like it was dropped just right, likely upside down and broke the plastic. I immediately filed a warranty claim same day, and today they are shipping me a new handle. Even with the break, I have still been able to get in good workouts. They feel absolutely amazing, adjusting the weights takes seconds. Definitely the best purchase I have ever made for home workouts.

This set of dumbbells are awesome. First they are a great space saver. Second, they are safe and quick to adjust. Also, there are many other mechanical adjustable dumbbells that are similar but the weights get stuck as the locking system wares down over time. However, this system is not mechanical, the adjustable pin system is easy to use and never fails to slide out the weight amount as you need, it’s full proof and they never get stuck. The paint finish and quality are excellent. Also, I like the smaller foot print of their design and I though they would be awkward to handle but just the opposite is true. Since they are compact I feel I can handle the heavier weight with more control. I am close to 60 and for me 50 lbs is probably enough for most exercises, but for certain exercises such as shoulder shrugs I can still jump up to 70lbs on each hand. I like that I can increase to 90 lbs but I probably won’t need to get there I my age. Regardless, if you’re not a professional body builder and plan on exceeding 90lbs on each hand these are a great deal and product. I am extremely happy I bought them as they have done an amazing job with the design and the person who created this system really though outside the box. Oh and by the way, the box design is also a bonus especially when you go heavy and you plant them on top of your knees to kick them up for a dumbbell press. You’ll see if you buy them. BTW, I don’t have any endorsement with this company I just was impressed with the overall value I received, I know a good product when I use one and this is a great product.

Love it but may take a while to fully utilize it
This pair of power blocks sure looks awkward at first impression. One can’t not really call them dumbbells anymore given its unconventional shapes.After quite some research I set my eyes on them and the only competition I had was NordicTrack ones since I had been using their treadmill for a few months and loved it. However, the reviews did show NordicTrack ones are easy to break and this pair has longer warranty.They came well packed, one by FedEx and one by Amazon and the manual is very easy to follow and it also conspicuously asks you not to cut the ties on the handles. I strongly suggest you get the accompanying stand as well as it will make your life much easier unless you already have stand to accommodate them.It does make some squeaking sound while lifting it up but I have heard it’s normal for any adjustable weight. I could barely notice the sound or blocks moving while exercising with them.So far, I love them and the build seems to be very solid and hopefully the handles will last long, which are solid though made of plastic. The handles feel better than a tradition dumbbell one after you get used to it. I believe the weight actually is distributed more evenly.I also ordered the 50-70 lb extension (you have to get elite pro one) but later retuned it. I could lift 45lbs of flour or rice bag up easily one handed at supermarket so naturally think maybe I will be able to use the extension soon. Well, boy am I wrong! I guess may be due the distribution of the weight of these blocks or whatever reason, it may takes me a while to fully utilize the 50lbs with reasonable number of repetitions.I recommend “Ultimate Guide to Strength Training” or something like ifit trading program if you are not hiring a personable trainer. This way, you could prevent injury to yourself as they are heavy though you could select weights staring from five lbs.Overall, it’s very nice to have them and I expect they could help my strength training years ahead.

Dependable, sturdy, simple, classic.
This company has been around a while, and for good reason. It’s sturdy, the range of weight and increments give you a lot of flexibility with use, simple mechanism, and the fact that this particular model is expandable is a great value if you’re just starting out and want to have the option of growing. As long as you know what you’re getting, this is a great adjustable dumbbell. Newer types of adjustable dumbbells are in the more traditional shape, but there’s a cost and complexity that comes along with them that make them less reliable.
