He has tried several different protein powders from various “big box” wholesale stores in the past, and he feels this specific formula is a step up in quality and digestibility.PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS- PROTEIN QUALITY & CONTENT: With 25g of protein per serving, the nutritional profile is solid. My husband noticed it feels “lighter” and doesn’t cause the bloating he sometimes gets from cheaper brands.- TEXTURE: The powder is very fine. I’m a big fan of Nutricost products, and one of those protein-prioritizing Gen Xers, so I was excited to try this protein powder. Right off the bat, I noticed its fresh taste and smooth, mixable texture. It easily blended into my banana and oat milk smoothie in no time, with no lumps like you sometimes get with cold temperature liquids.It delivers 25 grams of protein for 130 calories, comparable to the average premixed shake at a lower price per serving, so good value for money and calorie budget. Plus, it’s a fairly large scoop (1/3 cup) so you can easily adjust your dose if you want less or more protein. Freshness date is stamped on the bottom (my container is good for 2.5 years after purchase), a sign of a quality supplement.Chocolate taste is fine. I’m not the biggest chocolate lover, though, and next time I’d probably choose a vanilla or even unflavored variety to mix into oatmeal or chia pudding. Real Chocolate Taste, No Chalkiness and Blends Easily!
I have tried several protein powders, and this is one has great flavor and texture. The most impressive part is that it actually tastes like real chocolate. Unlike many other brands, it has no artificial aftertaste and is not chalky at all, which makes it much easier to drink daily.I’ve made this in two ways- with milk and with water. With milk is my favorite method since it makes the shake much creamier and adds even more protein. Even when mixed with just water, the flavor holds up well. It is still tasty and satisfying, which is rare for many powders.The powder blends easily with just a shaker bottle; I didn’t experience any of the typical clumps or grittiness. The scoop is pretty big and givesan approximate measurement too if you lose the scoop (just grab a 1/3 c measuring cup!). If you are looking for an effortless and delicious way to add extra protein into your day, I highly recommend this one!
