A Great Home Workout Option
I must say, after trying to figure out the broken English instructions and watching the videos, It was simpler than the instructions and videos made it out to be. I have a solid oak door frame in a 1929 apartment house. I’m a little over 200 lbs and this does not budge. You must install it properly. It’s important as a last step after everything is set, to twist the whole bar forward to lock it in. As you adjust this bar, it pushes both ends into the frame. If you hear crunching, you’ve tightened too much. Once you figure it out, it’s easy. In my opinion, the instructions are pretty confusing for the average person. For the price, this makes a great addition for a home work out option. I purchased this mainly to keep my spine in alignment. It will have so many other uses as well.

Built for Beasts, Not Just Biceps
We didn’t buy this pull-up bar for fitness. Oh no. We bought it as a defensive structure—a feline containment device. A gallows for tiny tyrants. You see, we have one of those hammocks meant to “gently suspend your cat in the air” so you can trim their nails like a calm, civilized person. Spoiler: our Bengal is not calm, nor civilized.This cat is basically a pocket-sized jungle warlord with the muscle tone of an Olympic gymnast who eats marathons for breakfast, and has the soul of a demon. The moment the nail trimmers came out, he turned into a rotating buzzsaw made of hate and escaped from what I can only describe as a medieval torture sling designed specifically to restrain him. My arm now looks like I lost a game of Slap Fight with Edward Scissorhands. But here’s the kicker: the pull-up bar didn’t move. Not an inch.So while my cat may have broken the laws of physics and all of our trust, this bar held strong. Five stars. Would trust it to hang from during the apocalypse, or while wrangling airborne house demons like we did.

Impossible to securely install it.
We wanted a pull-up bar for our very active boys—something we could remove if needed. Unfortunately, it was nearly impossible to install securely, and it was also very difficult to get a good grip on it. It wasn’t easily adjustable, either.We ended up returning it.The picture shows my 4-year-old hanging on it shortly before it came loose.

Pleasantly Satisfactory
It takes a little fiddling to initially position it, adjust the tension and lock it, but nothing too difficult.Once fixed in position, it easily held my weight (185lbs) without any ominous noises or slipping. Since it was ordered for my wife to use for stretching her shoulder in rehab, we needed something that could be moved easily (versus the top-of-the-door-frame mounted pull-up bar we previously used). This one fits that need just fine. I’ve already moved it once for her. Once it’s adjusted and sized to fit the doorway, it’s relatively easy to unlock, loosen, move and re-tighten in a different position.The company online video, while simplistic, is sufficient to help the paper instructions make sense. It’s prudent to carefully review both before installing it in a door frame. Once you figure out how it works, it’s a rather simple-but-clever mechanism and design.

Pull up bar so nice
So perfect and I’m using it every day three or four times a day. It is awesome. It fits in the door nicely it stays there. It’s nice because I can close my door and it’s not noticeable to me.

Well designed with safety locks
It’s a well designed piece of equipment.I mounted mine on the inside of a closet door. It went together quickly but you need to make sure the ends are in the right orientation when mounting. When installed properly, weight on the pole pushes the ends further apart for a tighter grip on the door frame. On top of that, there are latches on each end of the middle twist bar which prevent it twisting and loosening while in use. I use it mounted high up as a TRX anchor and can still walk into the closet without hitting my head in the bar…

Causes cosmetic damage, otherwise works as advertised.
This pull-up bar serves it’s purpose, but could be improved. The first time I went to adjust the height of the bar in my door frame, it pulled the paint off of my trim when I removed it from the frame. The foam padding also tore off in a spot within the first week. As for installation, it isn’t too difficult to figure out. The diagrams are a little confusing, but it made sense once I got it in the door frame and was able to see the way it assembles. It does have a good weight tolerance, as we’ve had over 250lbs on it and it hasn’t slipped or come loose.

My wife purchased this unit to help her gain strength in her arms. We took it out of the box and I couldn’t believe how well this was put together. The ease of instructions were there for my wife to read but it was too easy to figure out how the tighten it to the door frame. Now that she has seen how easy it is to move she can adjust it wherever she wants to use it.As I said the ease and quality of this unit is top notch.

Looks an engineered pull up bar which looks also durable. The only complain that I was close to return before installing it was the unmatched screw holes and the protective rubber, which I never realized why! Despite the hard to read manual and this manufacturing flaw, I believe it is worth the price.The two screws are tgose who will bear your weight so goven that flaw, and the fact that it is shaking no matter how much you tightened it up, I rate it as not the safest push up bar.

Easy to use and adjust. It’s so easy to set up that I’ll put it at different heights during my workout and then can take it down to store it when not in use.
