DO IT LIKE GRANDMA DID: Tallow–or rendered beef fat–is ancestral skincare. Our ancestors relied almost solely on animal fats to moisturize, protect, and heal their skin. Enjoy our light, meltable, whipped tallow balm as a contemporary nod to the practice of our forefathers.
VITAMIN POWERHOUSE: Tallow is rich in vitamins A,D,E,K and B1 as well as stearic and oleic fatty acids and saturated fat. This yields a balm that is nourishing to your skin, but also highly shelf stable! (Variations in texture are common, due to these unadulterated ingredients).
SOURCING: We source our tallow from USA small farmers who practice regenerative agriculture. This means that they rotationally graze their cows all year long, never feeding anything other than grass. These healthy, happy cows create a beautiful, golden yellow fat that contains high levels of vitamins and minerals. Our suet is hand-rendered by our skilled team before it is scent-approved and then used in our tallow formula, crafted by hand in small batches.
MILD, CLEAN AROMA: Some tallow balms out there stink like the dickens. We are proud to offer a tallow that smells only lightly buttery upon opening–not beefy or off-putting. Enjoy clean, natural skincare without smelling like a steak (if that’s not what you were looking for…).
ABOUT OUR PROCESS: At Hearth and Homestead, we are a small, family-owned business that holds to high standards for every single ingredient we put in our products. We use only high quality essential oils, butters, fats, herbs, and spices. We never use artificial ingredients like micas, dyes, or artificial fragrances.

Orange Vanilla Heaven
I LOVE this product ! I have extremely sensitive skin, rosacea and psoriasis. With all of my skin issues, this works beautifully without any skin irritation. It seems pricey at first glance, but a little bit goes a long way and lasts a long time so it’s well worth it. It absorbs quickly without any greasiness leaving soft and moisturized skin. This is perfect for the guys who hate hand lotion due to greasiness and/or scent and they have an unscented version. As a bonus, they’re a small business and it’s a pleasure purchasing from them. They have made me lifelong customer with their vanilla orange scent. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars !

Delighted!
I initially purchased this product to treat my reoccurring skin issues of psoriasis and exzema on my body and face. I find the balm exactly as described by the seller. The texture is soft, luxurious and melts into the skin with no greasy after effect. I find the smell of the unscented wonderful with its slightly earthy and buttery aroma. In less than one week of use my skin has greatly improved. The butter has such a lovely feel on my face and lovely effect on my skin that I now use it as a daily face cream. It has improved the wrinkles, texture and appearance of my 70 yr old complexion. So I am absolutely delighted with the performance of this product! Thank you Wilmoth Family.

This was the right choice…
I am floored with how much I enjoy using this! The smell of the orange vanilla is delicious and the consistency of the tallow is perfect. I researched quite a while on which tallow to try for the first time and I couldn’t be happier to have chosen yours! I can’t remember the last time my face felt so soft and had such a nice glow! Not greasy at all and my skin feels so hydrated. I’m also using as a body butter which I wasn’t expecting to do but it’s just that good! Thank you for making something with such natural ingredients and caring enough to make it so high quality 😊

Great product, works well, I’ve been using this for several months now. Unscented is great. Helping skin texture. Moisturizes but is not oily. I use it at night after my showers. Small business, very personal shipping with a little note. High quality.

The smell is amazing! Even though its a small jar it will last a long time. You only need a little bit. It is not greasy and has not clogged my pores. Makes my hands and face super smooth and moisturized. I wIll purchase again.

My only regret is that I didn’t take a before and after pictures of my face!!! This stuff is amazing! I may have put to much on because it felt so light weight, but it worked almost immediately! Took my redness away almost instantly!! It is absolutely wonderful!! Highly recommend using this product! Well worth the money! Love that b its all natural!!

Great product, but too oily for me!
I decided to buy this product to try a scented whipped tallow, as I had been using a different brand and didn’t enjoy the strong smell or the somewhat annoying texture.This is a great product—the scent is lovely, with a very subtle lavender note. My 5 year old son approved! I used it to hydrate his little face during winter vacation in the snow. The texture is very light and creamy; however, it is a bit too oily for my preference, and the level of hydration was not what I expected. Came very well packaged with a cute little thank you note 😊Overall, compared to the other product I was using, I will not be switching over. The other product leaves my skin more hydrated and with a more natural glow, despite the smell and clumpy texture. I was looking for a clean product to replace the beef tallow I had been using on my face, and while the ingredients here are fairly clean, it is simply too oily for facial use. That said, I do think this is a great product—I’m keeping it and will continue to use it for my hands.

High quality tallow balm safe for the most sensitive skin
Amazing high quality tallow balm for the most sensitive skins. I just love the richness and smoothness of this product and the fact the unscented has the infused rose and calendula is a big plus for me. It’s smooth with a lightweight feel and feels luxurious on my skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and I have been struggling with rashes and this cream has helped me so much. I have 2 kiddos who have sensitive skin and it’s worked wonders on their skin too. A must have for me now. I highly recommend this amazing product!

I cannot recommend this product enough!!! My 16 month old has been suffering with quite bad eczema patches on her back and arms recently and within a week of using this after her baths (which I also put natural colloidal oats in) it’s 99% cleared!!! It’s definitely worth the money. I don’t normally write reviews but I just had to as I’m so pleased with the results and knowing it’s organic and natural with no nasties!
