    Awesome
Fantastic, works great, looks great. Got the copper handles. Adjusting is easy. Couldn’t beat the price.

  2. Amazon Customer

Great quality at a reasonable price.
Weight selection mechanism feels solid with a positive click at each increment. Handle feels great in the hand, plenty of grip with no hot spots. Overall feels solid and works great. Would buy again.

Better than Bowflex? So far, I’m impressed.
I bought these adjustable dumbbells for use at a second home, and I’m honestly impressed. They’re easy to use and I like them just as much as my Bowflex set at my primary home. In fact, the center-trap handle adjustment is actually easier and more intuitive than the Bowflex, which requires changing each side individually. These also seem to slide into the tray more smoothly, which is a nice bonus. The only thing I can’t comment on yet is long-term durability…time will tell. But based on my first few sessions, I’m really glad I took a chance on these. So far, they’re a great value.

  4. TechPerspective

A perspective from a novice – a great set to start your journey!
In Short: A really nice set of adjustable dumbbells. There are a few areas for improvement here and there, but this set can easily replace a full rack of weights for most workouts! The Longer Story: One of the downsides of getting older is that you have to take better care of your health, which means more rigorous exercise and a focus on strength. While browsing through Facebook Marketplace, I initially bought some single-weight dumbbells, but I soon realized that different exercises require different weights to train different muscle groups optimally. I am far from a pro athlete – I train about once a week – but it became painfully obvious that, for me, a 20lb weight was insufficient for a goblet squat, yet way too heavy for a lateral arm raise. Keeping a ton of cast iron lying around wasn’t ideal, so I finally went the route of adjustable weights. These CAP dumbbells work well. They have an interesting mechanism where the weight can only be changed when the dumbbell is “docked” in its cradle. You simply rotate the center grip to adjust the weight in 5lb intervals (from 10lbs up to 55lbs), and the dumbbell symmetrically loads the plates on both sides. Unlike other adjustable sets, this allows you to set the weight with a single rapid movement. The only downside to this specific design is that you cannot load the sides unevenly for more obscure exercises (theoretically possible if you remove a plate from just one side, see the video). Another small downside are the not perfectly flat surfaces on the sides of the dumbbell – this makes laying them down “on the side” (vertically) a bit less stable and wobbly. The unit is very solidly built – not surprising considering the weight it has to carry. I would not necessarily toss it on the ground, but it feels reassuring enough to do overhead raises without fear of getting hit by loose weighs. As long as you are not doing any rapid-movement shenanigans with heavy weights, the loading mechanics should not be a concern. One specific feature I love is the hex shape; I use dumbbells for pushup variations, so having a set that doesn’t roll away is a major plus. So, why not five stars? There are a few quirks. As you can see/hear in the video, you have to be quite delicate with the alignment of the grip inside the cradle. This can get annoying after an exhausting set where fine motor skills are fading; if you place them in a crooked fashion, the adjustment mechanism won’t trigger (which is actually a great safety feature). Acoustically, you can hear the mechanism rattling a bit when you shake them, especially at lower weights. Finally, I personally would have preferred 2.5lb intervals for better fine-tuning of weights.Overall, these are minor gripes. This is a great set of adjustable dumbbells that saves a ton of space. It’s a perfect addition to my beginner workout routine, allowing me to easily experiment with different weights!

    Quality and Cost Effective
I was hesitant to order these because I have not been impressed with any of the budget adjustable dumbbells that I’ve looked at before, but I can’t say enough how impressed I am with these for the price. The weight selection is simple and solid, it’s quick and there’s no guesswork involved! My only critique would be on the plastic cradles; I would like to see those made little bit beefier, especially on the edges. I personally think the copper handles give a cool factor that you won’t find with many other dumbbells in this range.

    Greta buy!
Very sturdy! Like the feel of them. You can quickly change the weight amount. Once you get the hang of putting them back in holder it is super simple. They do have a metal laser to them but I don’t care I smell too when I’m working out.

  7. Brett A.

    Quality product
Works great! Able to adjust the weight as I go. A lot cheaper than buying a dumbbell set that goes from 10-55lbs! Me and the wife have been using them daily for a couple of weeks now and they still feel nice and tight.

  8. Andre Vargas

Easy to use. Saves on space
Easy to use . Slip resistant. Saves space for small work out room . So far liking the quality.

  9. NRod

Great quality and value. Ideal for the casual / beginner weightlifters. Saves a ton of space and is made of good quality. Don’t waste your money on the 5-25 pound dumbbells that you’ll have to upgrade from in no time. Get these instead. 10-55 pounds each.

  10. Chris T

Absolutely awesome. Love these, nice and easy to select the weight and come in & out of the trays cleanly. Wish i had ordered a stand with them ..I think these are worth the extra cost over the bowflex clones.

  11. Xaintonge

Good quality and value for the price. Can be a bit finicky to seat the dumbbells among the plates remaining in cradle if you rush or you’re depleted from set performed to failure — just slow down, and get on with it. No annoying rattle or clacking discernible while in use… at least not while *I’m* using them. I’d recommend affixing the cradles to a sturdy table, box or whatever else; or setting them on a non-slip rubber mat on the floor, otherwise, you’ll be chasing them around while trying to slot the dumbbell. There are two screw-holes per cradle; use pan-head screws with washers.

  12. arezoo

These dumbbells are really great. You can quickly change the weight you want. They are very practical and good. If at some point the weight gets a little stuck and you can’t fix it properly in place or take it out of the container, just carefully roll the dumbbell and the container under it to one side until the dumbbell is free. But be sure to watch your hands and feet, be very careful. Overall, it is a really good, practical and smart product.

  13. Eyecyy

These are fantastic adjustable dumbbells! The locking system feels amazing when you rotate the handle it gives a satisfying click and its such a smooth lift out makes it easy to get right to work. The only issue I’ve had with it is putting it back into the cradle although when you’re tired its tough to be coordinated! 100% recommend these to anyone who would ask.
