Premium shoe at “budget” price
Fit is perfect. Very lightweight. Absorb shock much better than anticipated; feel broken in already. Well worth the price; quality is better than Nike shoes I’ve had in the past. Good traction (even pushing bariatric patient beds).

Best bang for your buck running shoe
1/2/26 – I have been on a hunt for a good running shoe under $50. It is very hard. Once I came across ANTA I saw a potential in their brand. They had cheaper than usual running shoes. Their shoes at regular price are under 100 but this shoe they marked down to a whopping $39.99. I searched reviews of the ANTA PG7 shoe on YouTube (I definitely recommend doing research beforehand) and I found it. These shoes were highly praised for their price point and for the quality you get. Now I had confidence and credibility in this brand. My criteria were to find a hybrid between long distance and that can be used for sprinting (has to have comfort but also a nice rebound), has to be a credible brand, and has to be durable; color I don’t care too much. I weigh 145lbs and this shoe was very comfortable underfoot. The insole was removable which is important in a running shoe. Removable insoles can reduce moisture build up which can lead to squeaking (my hypothesis). After many miles you can also replace the insoles. On top of having a removable insole they inserted 2 holes for moisture reduction because runners need it. I didn’t only feel the comfort from insole; I also felt the midsole compress while walking. The midsole material (nitrogen stuff) is found in certain high-end brooks, high-end pumas, etc. which is surprising. I am getting a sub $50 with premium running materials. The outsole was one big piece which I like more than several smaller pieces. My only complaint is that this shoe runs very narrow. My foot isn’t wide nor is it thinner but when I put this shoe on, I had to remove the laces and lace them in a different position to comfortably wear them. This wasn’t a problem at all though because after changing the lace positions the shoe fit good. Additionally, the shoe sizes on this brand are different than a typical US men’s size. I am a 10.5 but I ordered a 9. I will have to return these and go up half a size actually. One small itsy-bitsy peeve is their color choices. They only have a rocket orange and for men, a white mixed with pink and purple, and an all-black. My first choice was and would be black, but for an insane deal ($33.24!!!!) who wouldn’t choose the orange. Now my only concern going forward is how the shoe will retain its comfort after many miles.
